Small Group Tours are the best
I loved the small group setting. Everything was more intimate and since we were in a smaller van, instead of a huge bus, we were able to explore areas that had less tourists, but still showed us the heart of Ireland. The hotels that were chosen were amazing, they had lots of room overall and always had wonderful breakfasts. As a solo traveler I was expecting much smaller accommodations, but was pleasantly surprised with very spacious rooms at the majority of stops. Our tour guide/driver was exceptional, relaying information about our various points of interest as well as places to be sure to see during all of our tour stops. He also made sure to check in to make sure that any experiences that we really wanted to have during our trip happened if it was at all possible. I cannot recomm…

More Than We Could Have Hoped For
We booked a Driftwood tour on the hope it would be more personal than a big ol’ bus tour…we got so. Much. More. The Vagabond/Driftwood team are not kidding when they say they want you to love Ireland as much as they do- the love they have for their country seeps through everything- care for the environment, sustainable business practices, support of the local artisan/restauranteur/hotelier/farmer, attention to guest’s wants and needs, thorough knowledge of Irish fact and fable. I’m proud to have roots in this country, and I’d be ever so grateful if my paths crossed with this company again. Lots of grá!

11 Day “Discover Ireland” Tour - September 2023
My wife and I did a Driftwood tour of Ireland 9/19/23 - 9/29/23. We had toured the country with Vagabond in 2012 so we had some familiarity with the itinerary, but our guide did a masterful job of making each day a fresh experience. She went out of her way to get to know each person on tour and to maximize everyone’s enjoyment of the various landmarks and daily activities. She also accommodated our requests to do or see things we had particularly enjoyed on our previous tours. Vagabond was a pleasure to deal with from the time we booked the tour, through several months of anticipation, to the end of the tour. We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone interested in a small group tour of Ireland.

"SUPERLATIVE"

11 Day tour group having fun on the beach in Ireland

The accommodations ranged from excellent to downright luxurious. Even the van used for touring was extremely comfortable.

We visited all of the must see locations as you would expect but some of the highlights were the out of the way and lesser known locations selected by our tour guide Tim ...

Tim provided insight into his Irish history that can only be obtained from a guide dedicated to providing the best possible all-round experience ... He went out of his way to ensure that the individual wishes of each member of the tour were satisfied.

"HIGHLY RECOMMEND"

11 day tour group having fun in scenic Ireland

We made such great friends along the way. I credit a lot of this to our tour guide, Tomas who was so inclusive and encouraging to all.

I consider Vagabond the best choice because they are flexible and open to suggestions ... for example, Tomas helped arrange a rowing experience for us with short notice based on us just mentioning interest.

It was obvious that Vagabond's only goal is to make sure their customers have an excellent experience while visiting Ireland. Highly recommend!

"BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS"

11 day tour group with their vehicle and hotel in Ireland

From the moment of first contact until the end of our 11 Day Driftwood Tour, we received excellent customer service and quick to respond to inquiries.

Our tour guide, Tomás, was excellent. His humor and knowledge of the sites we visited kept our group entertained while traveling in the van.

Our van rides were comfortable and it was nice having Tomás expertly maneuver the roadways.
